Gallery Poster

This poster was made for a fictional Gallery Exhibition that displayed my Illustrations. I wanted the imagery to display the kind of art that would be displayed. My art style is usually leaning towards the dark and morbid aesthetic. I didn’t want the image to appear to static and boorish so I gave it some movement. I chose a thinner serif typeface for the title so that it didn’t take away from the graphics of the poster. I wanted the center to be a sort of illusionary focal point.

I have always had a hard time with greeting people, whether it be in times of sorrow or happiness it often felt forced and awkward. Goodbyes bring a sense of dread as you never know if it will be the last time you see somebody. Therefore, I gave the title “Fear of Salutations” to the exhibition to play off of these feelings.
